Dr. Del Vecchio is the newest doctor at our practice. A South Jersey native, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Stockton University and was part of the inaugural class of the new Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine.

She greatly admires the long-lasting relationships that the doctors have formed with their clients and patients here at Mainland and looks forward to building the same connections with her own patients and clients. There is a special place in her heart for cats; she is even a member of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. When she’s not living the dream helping animals and people, she enjoys spending time with her seven cats and three dogs.

Beth grew up on a small farm in Dorothy, NJ raising livestock and horses over the years, peppered with multiple dogs and cats, of course. Oldest of 11 children, her life never has a dull moment. She officially started working in veterinary medicine in private practice at the Somers Point Veterinary hospital in 2002. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 2004. She has also worked in emergency medicine at the Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Linwood. She is excited to have joined our team at Mainland Veterinary hospital in November 2015 when we opened our doors.

Beth’s current pet population is rather small, consisting of her dog “Leo”, a Boston Terrier mix; 2 horses “Magic” and “Pippen” and 9 (or so) cats (depending on if they bring someone else home for dinner!

Outside of Veterinary medicine Beth enjoys DIY home improvement projects, Classic car shows, antiquing, art projects such as painting, drawing and clay sculpture, gardening and just being outside (when it’s warm!). When not at work, she enjoys catching up with her family, bowling and movies with her little brothers, girl nights and spending time with her husband – watching TV or sitting around the fire pit with a nice glass of wine…doing absolutely nothing but relaxing and watching the flames!
